Relax

Swimming Pool

Things have been really busy lately, it seems as if I haven’t had much time for anything at all!

On the 28th, I was eating incredibly sweet and succulent mandarin oranges at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (China); trying to pee, pack my laptop and some essentials at my KL house in less than 15 minutes; and had an extremely late dinner of chee cheong fun (rice noodle roll) back at my Perak house. All in one day.

And as if the above wasn’t tiring enough, the very next day, we went to Ipoh to visit some relatives/friends.

The next two days, we were busy getting new passports because we are going back to Perth on the 3rd to renew our permanent residency (PR). So I guess I am skipping my orientation on the 5th. Part of me is excited because I miss our house there and because I’ll be meeting my friends, but part of me is a little tired of all the packing and traveling.

On New Year’s Eve, we had a little party at our house organized by dad’s clerk-friend. It was a blast. I went to bed at 1am because I was so sleepy - to my own surprise (probably because of the Chivas Regal, haha!). I heard the party ended an hour later. Anyway, I wish all of you a Happy New Year 2009!

Maybe I’ve been pretty busy, but I definitely haven’t been as busy or as exhausted as my parents.

I actually found some time on the 30th to just sit by the pool of my Perak house and had a good chat with one of the kakaks while she was cleaning the pool. As it was getting late, the wind came in. It was blowing through the trees around the pool, clapping the leaves.

The picture above taken on the day shows small waves being created by the wind. For so long, I felt far off and deep in the middle of nature.

So if your life have been busy, hectic and crazed, take some time out to enjoy the simple pleasures that life offers. Relax!
