4pm

When the clock strikes 4pm,
it marks the end of another school day.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
she packs her stuff unwillingly - it’s time to go home, oh no.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
she forces herself to say goodbyes to her fellow friends.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
she carries her overloaded bag and walks up the stairs.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
she waits melancholy for someone to pick her up.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
the music pumps into her ears.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
she goes in the car, already looking forward to going to school tomorrow.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
she is on her own, a thick wall surrounds her.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
the feeling of depression hits her hard.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
her soul waves goodbye and all that is left is her empty shell filled with anguish.

When the clock strikes 4pm,
she is slowly walking away from the place and people she once knew too well,
and even though she wants to stop, she doesn’t know how.
